How to join a Game

This is a step-by-step guide on how to joina game in Age of Mythology

• Step 1:- Make sure you pause all your downloads, inorder to play a lag free game.
• Step 2:- Close all programs including Internet Explorer (or any other Browser).
• Step3:- Switch on your hamachi software and minimize it to the tray. (Make sure you already have the settings Done. "Settings Section")
• Step 4:- Open your "Network Connections"
• Step 5:- Right Click your ISp's Local Area Network, and Select "Disable"
• Step 6:- After Disabling your LAN, minimize "Network Connections" window, and start the game "Age of Mythology".(Make sure you have your game updated from our "Download Section"
• Step 7:- In the game, click on "Multiplayer" and then Click on "Host".
• Step 8:- In the Host Game window, check the IP address given on the top left of the window. That IP address should be your Hamachi IP. (If you dont see your hamachi IP and instead you your LAN ip, then repeat the whole process, and check weather you're done with the pre requisite settings.)
• Step 9:- Once you see your hamachi ip on the host game window, minimize the game and then "Right" Click on the ISP LAN icon, and select "Enable".

Thats it! Your Game is now configured and you can now play Age of Mythology online.

Poseidon

Poseidon (Neptūnus) was the god of the sea and, as "Earth-Shaker," of earthquakes, he was integrated into the Olympian gods as the brother of Zeus and Hades.
Poseidon was one of the caretakers of the oracle at Delphi before Olympian Apollo took it over. Apollo and Poseidon worked closely in many realms: in colonization, for example, Delphic Apollo provided the authorization to go out and settle, while Poseidon watched over the colonists on their way, and provided the lustral water for the foundation-sacrifice.

Poseidon was a son of Cronus and Rhea. In most accounts he is swallowed by Cronus at birth but later saved, with his other brothers and sisters, by Zeus. Later the world was divided by lot in three, Zeus received the sky, Hades the underworld and Poseidon the sea.


Poseidon’s Anger
Athena became the patron goddess of the city of Athens after a competition with Poseidon. Yet Poseidon remained a numinous presence on the Acropolis in the form of his surrogate, Erechtheus.

At the dissolution festival at the end of the year in the Athenian calendar, the Skira, the priests of Athena and the priest of Poseidon would process under canopies to Eleusis.

They agreed that each would give the Athenians one gift and the Athenians would choose whichever gift they preferred. Poseidon struck the ground with his trident and a spring sprang up; the water was salty and not very useful, whereas Athena offered them an olive tree.

The Athenians (or their king, Cecrops) accepted the olive tree and along with it Athena as their patron, for the olive tree brought wood, oil and food.

After the fight, infuriated at his loss, Poseidon sent a monstrous flood to the Attic Plain, to punish the Athenians for not choosing him. The depression made by Poseidon's trident and filled with salt water was surrounded by the northern hall of the Erechtheum, remaining open to the air.


Poseidon Betrayed Troy
Poseidon and Apollo, having offended Zeus, were sent to serve King Laomedon of Troy. He had them build huge walls around the city and promised to reward them well, a promise he then refused to fulfill. In vengeance, before the Trojan War, Poseidon sent a sea monster to attack Troy (it was later killed by Perseus).

Poseidon was the father of many heroes. He is thought to have fathered the famed Theseus.
Not all of Poseidon's children were human.

In an archaic myth, Poseidon once pursued Demeter. She spurned his advances, turning herself into a mare so that she could hide in a herd of horses; he saw through the deception and became a stallion and captured her. Their child was a horse, Arion, which was capable of human speech.

Poseidon also had sexual intercourse with Medusa on the floor of a temple to Athena. Medusa was then changed into a monster by Athena. When she was later beheaded by the hero Perseus, Chrysaor and Pegasus emerged from her neck. There is also Triton, the merman; Polyphemus, the cyclops; and Oto and Ephialtae, the giants.

Kronos

Cronus or Kronos,was the leader and the youngest of the first generation of Titans, divine descendants of Gaia, the earth, and Ouranos, the sky. He overthrew his father and ruled during the mythological Golden Age, until he was overthrown by his own sons, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, and imprisoned in Tartarus .

As a result of his association and virtuous Golden Age, Cronus was worshipped as a harvest deity, overseeing crops such as grains, nature, agriculture, and the progression of time in relation to humans in general. He was usually depicted with a sickle, which he used to harvest crops and which was also the weapon he used to castrate and depose Ouranos, his father.

Cronus envied the power of his father, the ruler of the universe, Ouranos. Ouranos drew the enmity of Cronus' mother, Gaia, when he hid the gigantic youngest children of Gaia, the hundred-armed Hecatonchires and one-eyed Cyclopes, in Tartarus, so that they would not see the light. Gaia created a great adamant sickle and gathered together Cronus and his brothers to persuade them to kill Ouranos.

Only Cronus was willing to do the deed, so Gaia gave him the sickle and placed him in ambush. When Ouranos met with Gaia, Cronus attacked him with the sickle by cutting off his genitals, castrating him and casting the severed member into the sea.

After the death of his father, He and Rhea took the throne of the world as king and queen. This period of Cronus' rule was called the Golden Age, as the people of the time had no need for laws or rules; everyone did the right thing, and immorality was absent.


Cronus learned from Gaia and Ouranos that he was destined to be overcome by his own son, just as he had overthrown his father. As a result, although he sired the gods Demeter, Hera, Hades, Hestia, and Poseidon by Rhea, he swallowed them all as soon as they were born to preempt the prophecy. When the sixth child, Zeus, was born Rhea sought Gaia to devise a plan to save them and to eventually get retribution on Cronus for his acts against his father and children. Rhea secretly gave birth to Zeus in Crete, and handed Cronus a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes, also known as the Omphalos Stone, which he promptly swallowed, thinking that it was his son.

Rhea kept Zeus hidden in a cave on Mount Ida, Crete. According to some versions of the story, he was then raised by a goat named Amalthea, while a company of Kouretes, armored male dancers, shouted and clapped their hands to make enough noise to mask the baby's cries from Cronus.

Other versions of the myth have Zeus raised by the nymph Adamanthea, who hid Zeus by dangling him by a rope from a tree so that he was suspended between the earth, the sea, and the sky, all of which were ruled by his father, Cronus. Still other versions of the tale say that Zeus was raised by his grandmother, Gaia.

Once he had grown up, Zeus used a poison given to him by Gaia to force Cronus (Kronos or Kronus) to disgorge the contents of his stomach in reverse order: first the stone, which was set down at Pytho under the glens of Mount Parnassus to be a sign to mortal men, then the goat, and then his two brothers (poseidon and hades) and three sisters.

In a vast war called the Titanomachy, Zeus and his brothers and sisters, with the help of the Gigantes, Hecatonchires, and Cyclopes, overthrew Cronus and the other Titans. Afterwards, many of the Titans were confined in Tartarus. Some Titans were not banished to Tartarus. Atlas, Cronus, Epimetheus, Menoetius, Oceanus and Prometheus are examples of Titans who were not imprisoned in Tartarus following the Titanomachy (War of the Gods). Gaia bore the monster Typhon to claim revenge for the imprisoned Titans, though Zeus was victorious.

Kronos was finally imprisoned with the other Titans in Tartarus.

New Undisputed AOC Champion

This week nobody turned up for the tourney, so all title holder's loose their titles.
there was a 1 vs 1 match that occured between "Screw You" and "Knights".
The match was for the "Undisputed AOC Championship"

As the match was underway, due to some reasons the game was haulted in between..
so as a result of "Disqualification" and on the basis of final "Postgame" scores, the new "Champion" is .... "Screw You"

Congrats to the Newly Crowned champion.
